Diana M. Hall was hired by the Conway Police Department as the
Secretary to the Chief of Police in 1995. She was also the Secretary
for the Conway Police Commission.
All though Diana was only with us for three short years she made an
impact on all of us. Diana was always smiling and seemed to be enjoying
life to the fullest. Diana was a member of the Police Prevention Team,
Conway Police Ladies Auxiliary, and the Conway Police Association. She would also volunteer to assist in many different programs sponsored by Dare or the Police Association. Diana died from cancer in December 1998. Her passing was a shock to all of us. Diana is sadly missed.
Robert A. Elliott
1930 - 1998
Robert A. Elliott retired in 1996 after twenty years as a E911 Dispatcher
for the Conway NH Police Department. Bob was known throughout the
valley for his Christmas Eve Santa tracking reports issued over the police
radio channels and monitored by civilian scanners.
Bob helped to establish the "PROJECT GOOD MORNING" program. This
program was created to maintain a close watch on the elderly who live
alone or shut-ins. Members of the program call into the police station every morning to check in to let the dispatcher know that they are okay.
Bob could be often be found enjoying a favorite past time of performing at local clubs during their Karaoke nights. At his retirement party Bob received his own karaoke machine.
Tragically Bob was killed in a motor vehicle crash in the summer of 1998 by a juvenile offender operating a stolen vehicle.
