NH Law Enforcement Officers Honored for Outstanding Contributions in the Line of Duty
CONCORD NH - OCTOBER 5, 2008: Conway Police Department Officer Michael S. Boucher was honored during the Eleventh Annual Congressional Law Enforcement Awards for outstanding contributions to law enforcement by New Hampshire officers at a ceremony at the Police Standards and Training Academy in Concord on October 5, 2008. Officer Boucher received the "Above and Beyond the Call of Duty Award".
The awards were presented by United States Senator John Sununu and Tom Prasol, New Hampshire Project Director for Senator Judd Gregg, representing Senator Gregg at the ceremony.
Senators Sununu and Gregg stated, “New Hampshire’s law enforcement officers put themselves in harm’s way each day to protect our lives and families and to keep our homes and communities safe. They have earned our respect and gratitude. The Congressional Law Enforcement Awards are a tribute to these dedicated men and women and the personal sacrifices they have made to ensure public safety.”
State, county, and local law enforcement agencies, government agencies, and citizens nominated law enforcement officers who exhibited a level of dedication and commitment beyond their prescribed duties. An independent committee of local, county, and state law enforcement officers served as judges for all submissions.
