On Thursday March 26, 2015 at approximately 11:00am officers from the Conway Police Department executed a search warrant at 17 Eastside Road, apartment #3, in Conway. The search warrant was based upon credible information that the tenants within the apartment were actively growing marijuana. The tenants were identified to be
Members of the detectives division conducted the search of the 2nd floor apartment and located an active marijuana grow consisting of twenty individually potted plants. Shan Martin was taken into custody and charged with Manufacturing of Controlled Drugs and Possession of Controlled Drugs with Intent to Distribute. Both charges are brought forward as class A felonies. If found guilty, Shan Martin could face 7 ½ -15 years in State Prison and up to $200,000 in fines on each charge. Shan Martin has two prior convictions for Possession of Controlled Drugs.
Shan Martin was held overnight at the Carroll County House of Corrections and will appear before the honorable court today, Friday March 27, 2015 for a bail hearing.
The investigation is still ongoing and more arrests are expected.
