CONCORD NH MAY 6, 2009: On May 6, 2009 Officer Sean Mask received the "Diligence in Traffic Enforcement "Award at a luncheon and ceremony held at the New Hampshire Police Academy facility in Concord, NH. Officer Mask was chosen by a panel of judges from dozens of submissions from police agencies across the State. The annual awards ceremony honors enforcement actions by State, City, Town and County officials, which go beyond the call of duty.
Officer Mask's award was given in recognition for his determined efforts from a traffic stop that developed into a drug trafficking arrest and conviction. On February 16, 2008 Officer Sean Mask stopped a vehicle in Conway for an equipment defect and a yellow line violation. Upon further investigation, he developed probable cause to arrest the driver and occupants for various offenses. A search conducted afterwards resulted in a cocaine seizure along with drug scales and paraphernalia. Drug trafficking charges as well as a charge of destruction of evidence were levied against Jessica Leeman of Berlin, NH. Leeman has since plead guilty in Carroll County Superior Court and is serving a prison sentence for her crimes.
Officer Sean Mask is a 3 year veteran of the Conway Police Department and lives in Conway with his wife Amy and their chocolate lab Sophie.
